Uninvited Critic Identity


Concept + design

When I lost a bet to my friend Simon Love, I had to design him a logo and business card. His picky demeanor had earned him the label of “uninvited critic” amongst his peers, and so his identity was designed around this theme.
The mark is a simple thumbs up.

The business card is scored in the middle, with a place for The Critic to give a score out of 5. Once the card is folded, it can be left tent-folded (to express displeasure), or L-folded (to express happiness / general approval).

Uses of the card are many and varied – it can be left at a restaurant after a wonderful meal, or left on a pillow after an unsatisfying sexual experience.

This card pleased The Critic so much he started a blog to document his own positive and negative card photos.
